On the Road to Retirement
There are a few things that a little girl dreams about as she is growing up. Finding a partner, having kids, and getting that little house with a white picket fence.
Yet, a woman tends to dream about other things after she finally gets all the things her younger self wanted. Retirement is the next dream a woman has.
With age comes the end of ones working career and you are on the road to retirement. While exciting, it can also be very scary if you are not ready. Here are some tips to help you plan for retirement.

Calculators
There are many tools available online these days to help people figure out the best ways to invest and get ready to retire. Pigly offers the best in my opinion, plus the site has a ton of other resources on it.
Many jobs offer retirement plans, but learning about other options at a young age is key when it comes to retiring in comfort or even retiring at an early age. Investing right, can go a long way in the future.
Check out some of the calculators at Pigly and see where you are sitting financially for your future. It’s never to early or to late to get a handle on your finances.
Thankfully my husband has had a good job for 25 years and his job offers an early out plan.
While it’s not a full monthly income as if he were to work till he is 65, it’s still a great plan because we have been preparing for it for a while now.
Goals for Retiring
Travel is something my husband and I both love. Over the years there have been many trips we have taken and many memories made.
For years we have discussed our plans for when he retires, and now, it’s here. January 2021 is his retirement date, and we just purchased our retirement home on wheels.
First though we had to do some calculating to see what we could afford monthly and we used the Pigly auto calculators.
After looking at many RV’s we found the best RV for our Retirement travels. It’s perfect and exactly what we have been dreaming about. Stay tuned for all the fun I am having remodeling it.
Retirement Budget
Most people who are retired are still living within a budget and we totally will be. Knowing what kind of budget you have to play with starts by simply using a good budget calculator.
Knowing how much money you should save for retirement, and then how much you can budget monthly is key for a happy retirement so you don’t go broke.
Being retired doesn’t mean you live differently than when you were working. Just plan accordingly and learn how to budget.
