Protect Your Cell Phone on the Beach
One very popular thing for many to do in the summer is hitting the beach for some fun in the sun, sand and water. That can be good for you, but bad for your cell phone. Here are some tips to help you protect your cell phone on the beach. Tips that you can use this summer, next summer, and for years to come when on a beach or traveling in general.

Travel is great and something I highly recommend everyone do. Doing it with your family, your friends or even choosing to do it solo, can make memories for a lifetime. However, you don’t want one of those memories to be how you ruined your cell phone while traveling.
Protect Your Cell Phone on the Beach
Being on the beach is fun, but not when you ruin your cell phone. The sand is hard on your cell phone as it’s fine and can blow into every opening on a phone. One might not think much of it at the time, but when one day your speakers won’t work, you can bet it was due to sand.
Phones don’t only need protection when on a beach or near water. Take my husband again as an example. (he is very hard on cell phones). For years he has been shoving his phone into the pocket of his jeans. Well, what is in ones jean pocket… sand, lint, dirt, etc., That stuff gets shoved into the charging port of the phone and then one day, the phone won’t charge. (true story!).
Put Your Phone in a CaliCase
Cell phone insurance is something everyone should have, but not everyone has. Sometimes it’s that added cost monthly that people just don’t want. Let me introduce you to the best non insurance, insurance for your cell phone.
CaliCase is what everyone should have to protect their cell phone no matter where you go. Shopping, biking, walking, hiking, traveling, beach, boating, etc., Why risk damage to your expensive cell phone when you can protect it and keep it safe?
A universal waterproof floating case that hangs around your neck so you can be hands free.
Features of the CaliCase include:
- Dual Padded Layering for added protection if dropped.
- Waterproof up to 100ft and Buoyant so it floats.
- Underwater Content – take pictures underwater with your phone.
Why Buy a CaliCase?
Let’s face it, more people have cell phones these days than any other device on the market. A cell phone is a person’s life. From contacts, work stuff, photo’s, video’s, notes, etc., people need their cell phones. Basically a lifeline for most. Losing the content on a cell phone can be life altering, or at least a huge pain in the you know what.
How many times have you been near water and almost dropped your phone? That OMG moment? Let me tell you my husband has had that moment way to many times, and he also has gotten his phone wet and ruined a couple. Living on a lake and boating in the summer, plus my husband and his cell phone equals.. OMG moments.
Two times now he has ruined a phone and how I wish we had known about CaliCase before now. He has had his phone in his pocket and jumped off the pontoon boat, then come up out of the water holding a now ruined phone. Take note – don’t be like my husband.
Sometimes insurance will cover a water soaked phone, but sometimes it won’t. Regardless if you have insurance or not, don’t risk it and just grab yourself and everyone in your family a CaliCase. Lots of colors to pick from so everyone will be happy. Plus you can get 20% off by using coupon code thattravelingchick at checkout.
Safe Traveling with a Cell Phone
Might sound kinda funny that a person has to think about keeping a cell phone safe when traveling, but it’s the reality of having an expensive device. A device that holds your life basically.
When I was on my Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas cruise I sure could have used a CaliCase. Being on the go all day while aboard a cruise ship makes one forget things, like their cell phone back at their room. If I had a CaliCase I wouldn’t of had to worry about forgetting it, as it would be hanging around my neck. Plus, I could have had my room key, my credit card or cash and my lip gloss all in my CaliCase.
Seeing people hang over the ships railing to take pictures, NO WAY would I do that. Now I would though cuz I wouldn’t worry about dropping my phone as it would be around my neck.
There are 2 sizes of CaliCases and so everyone can find one that works for them. I love my hot pink one!

LMAO!! Yeah, my hubby is a bit of a space case. He also one time was working on our truck, had his phone set by the windshield wipers as he had been looking something up on YouTube (to help fix the truck), he then closed the hood to take the truck for a drive, and forgot his phone on the hood by the windshield wipers. Well, phone fell off somewhere and we never ever found it. And, it was hot pink because he was using my old phone and never got a new case for it. How we never found a hot pink cell phone in the ditch is crazy and we looked for days.

My hubby’s phone now has a cracked screen and he has it in his pants pocket when he’s working and I feel that the sweat and stuff will soon leak into it and short it out. He needs a new phone but he’s just not wanting to buy one just yet. LOL
