The world we live in has definitely changed since the COVID-19 Pandemic that began two years ago. Sometimes it is hard to remember the way we did things before the pandemic started. We used to be able to go wherever we wanted without having to worry about whether we had a mask with us or our COVID-19 vaccination cards. The pandemic has made it almost impossible for those who are not vaccinated to attend certain shows or events. Personally, I never would have imagined that a virus could have shut down our country like it did for so long. Thankfully, the COVID-19 numbers and deaths have declined, and we are slowly beginning to transition to “normal” life again, whatever that looks like for you.
Although COVID-19 numbers have gone down, some cities in the US are still requiring individuals to show proof of a negative COVID test or a vaccination card in order to go to events or even just eat at their restaurants. As many know, getting a PCR-quality COVID test can be a challenge. You would typically need to go to a doctor’s office to have this test done, and you would not receive your results for at least 24 hours. This made it very difficult to get a test done last minute.
LUCIRA Check-It COVID-19 Test
Thankfully, at-home tests are becoming more popular, and personally, I choose to use LUCIRA Check-it COVID-19 tests to make sure I am COVID-negative. LUCIRA Check-it is the first and only FDA authorized single-use molecular home test, and it provides PCR-quality accuracy in 30 minutes or less. It detects all COVID-19 variants, including Delta and Omicron. Throughout the COVID pandemic I would always go to a doctors office if I needed to be tested because I always questioned how accurate the at-home tests were. I have no question that this LUCIRA test is accurate. After much research, the company has found out that it is actually 98% accurate with its results compared to lab-based PCR tests. This means that out of 100 tests administered, 98 of them are coming up with the same answer as a PCR test. After having doubts about at-home tests, I feel very good about taking a LUCIRA test and knowing I am not going to get a false positive or false negative result.
How does it work?
The LUCIRA Check-it test is very easy to use and comes with great instructions. All you have to do is swirl a cotton swab around both nostrils and stir the swab in the vial of the test. You press the vial into the test, and then the ready light will start blinking when the test is running. You will have your results in as few as 11 minutes for a positive result, and 30 minutes for a negative result. It really is as easy as that!
Conclusion
This test has given me a peace of mind about traveling and attending events that require a negative PCR-quality covid test. I am so thankful that I have this test at home in case I need a quick and accurate result in the future. It is so much more comfortable to be able to test yourself in your own home, and not have to go into a doctor’s office for them to test you. This test is suitable for the whole family and anyone who is 14 years or older can even do this themselves. I am so thankful that I have this resource and appreciate LUCIRA for allowing me to try this test and give my honest and accurate review. #LuciraHealthKit #sponsored
