Pre-Trip Planning
Planning our trips to Florida are always fun and we do so more on the fly than in advance. Because we generally drive to our destination our time frame isn’t always the same so pre-planning isn’t always for us.
This Florida trip was different in the fact I knew in advance we would be enjoying a fun day at Universal Orlando and had been able to work with the Universal Orlando Blogger Rep to get a great rate at Loews Royal Pacific Resort Universal Orlando.
First Thoughts about Loews Royal Pacific Resort
Even though we arrived way before check-in time, I was greeted at the front desk by a sweet gal and upon check-in she picked up the phone and all of a sudden another gal came over, introduced herself and gave me a business card with the managers information on it. She said if we needed anything, to contact the manager.
They make one feel like royalty for sure. They gave us the keys to our room and said they would text us when the room was ready. So, of course we headed out the door and off to Universal Orlando for some fun and exploring of the amazing park. And it wasn’t long and I got my text that the room was ready.
Enjoying the Day at Universal Orlando
A quick stop at our car to grab a few things before heading to Universal Orlando to spend a day riding rides, eating foods, and seeing all that this amazing place has to offer. You can read all about our Universal Orlando fun in my latest post too.
So much fun was had at the park and ended with a great dinner at Margaritaville that we didn’t get to our room till about 10pm. Imagine our surprise when we finally got to the room and saw how beautiful it was and the surprise waiting for us.
Our Room at Loews Pacific Resort
Upon entering our room I think my husband had to pick my jaw up off the floor. When we entered a few lights were on and my first thought was oh crap we must be in the wrong room.
Well we were not in the wrong room. Someone from the hotel had left our lights on for us along with some goodies on our table and a nice card to welcome us to the hotel. See what was left for us.
Treats left for us in our hotel room.
Not only did they look amazing, they tasted amazing! We couldn’t eat them that night as we were so stuffed from dinner so we ate the strawberries with our breakfast and at the cupcakes on our drive back to Minnesota.
Loews Pacific Resort Room
This room was just so amazing and as I said before, one of the nicest we have stayed in. A king room with one of the best beds we have ever slept on.
Just like laying on a big cloud and we were both asleep in minutes. Was it the bed, the full day, or the drinks at Margaritaville, one will never know.
Great Night Makes a Great Morning
There is no way one can’t get a great night sleep here and have sweet dreams of what the morning will bring. For us, that morning brought the excitement of getting the chance to eat breakfast in our room, which we had never done before.
In all our travels room service was just not something we allowed ourselves as if you travel you know it’s not cheap. But, because we saved money on this room we sprung for it and are glad we did!
Grabbing a menu and ordering up some breakfast and then chilling in bed and waiting for it to arrive. Again, blown away at the quick room service and the kindness of the girl who brought in our trays and showed us all our food and wishing us a great dining experience.
The gal who brought our food offered to take the lids off or leave food covered and positioned our cart exactly where we wanted it. We talked a bit, learned a bit about her and I so wanted to hug her when she left. She was so kind and helped us see that there are really kind people in the world.
Breakfast is Served
Tony ordered Eggs Benedict, I ordered oatmeal and bacon and we shared some bananas and strawberries. The portions were great and the food was really good! Just check out my bacon! You want some now don’t you? It was the best bacon I have had in a long time, and done to my perfection.
Breakfast was perfect and we actually hit the sheets after for a bit more rest as we had a long day of driving and just wanted to enjoy our last day of deserved vacation.
Time to Leave
All packed and ready to leave I did the online checkout and we walked thru the hotel one more time to get some more pictures and just soak it all in. If you ever get the chance to stay here I highly recommend it.
I am so glad we stayed here and I know my next vacation I will be making sure I find where other Loews Royal Pacific Hotels are as they are now right at the top of my list for my favorite hotels to stay in.

What a lovely surprise to find those treats waiting for you in the room! I also would have been caught off guard to walk in and see the lights on. My adrenaline would have been sky high!
Sheila Thomas says
I have heard of people doing that and so when the lights were on I was a bit freaked. Now, after traveling more often, we are finding that in a lot of hotels. Lights, and the TV on to the hotels own “news” channel.

What a great hotel in the Orlando area. I love the pool area and that breakfast looks amazing. The bacon does look like it’s done to perfection.
Sheila Thomas says
I am a crispy bacon girl, so I always have to ask for crispy. Sometimes I get totally burned, sometimes, rubber. This was the best ever!

I would absolutely love to be able to go to warm beach and kiss coronavirus bye. It would be the best end to the worse event of history I’ve ever witnessed!
