Is Travel Blogging Dead for 2021
Chances are if you are a blogger of follow any bloggers, especially travel ones, a question this past year might be is travel blogging dead for 2021. Or is blogging in general dead for 2021?
The short answer, No!
With the world turned upside down things will forever be different but blogging is still here and still going strong. That goes for travel blogging as well.
What is Travel Blogging
Travel blogging is the same as any other type of blogging, but in the travel niche. Usually a travel blogger is one who loves to travel or talk about travel. One who is knowledgeable about destinations or specific types of travel.
Being a travel blogger means you use social outlets to share your story. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and/or a blog. Some travel bloggers use one, some use a few and some use all.
The goal is to create buzz about destinations, answer travel questions and get people to your content by using great SEO. Influencer marketing is the best way to grow a blog of any kind.
What Happened to Blogging in 2020
Oh what a year 2020 was. The world basically came crashing down, and for travel bloggers in particular that was a hard thing to have happen.
Certain blogging niches took off, like shopping, couponing, ways to make money and blogs that helped people with things they faced during the pandemic. Basically travel blogs didn’t offer things needed during this time.
Travelers search out information and travel bloggers supply that information by writing great content. Because 2020 had less searching for the content travel writers provide due to travel restrictions.
2020 started out good and I even was enjoying my travels, and had just gotten back from a weekend away. Life turned upside down, the doors to just about anything fun were closed and here we all sat, wondering what the future would hold.
Is Travel Blogging Dead in 2021
Absolutely not! Traveling is opening back up and more and more people are peeking out from their houses and making plans to get back to the life they had to put on hold. As a result, ravel plans are being made again.
Bloggers are still going strong and that includes travel bloggers. Being a travel blogger a while now my down time was used to do other things but even I am back at it strong and steady! Is travel blogging worth it? Totally!!
Becoming a travel blogger might not be a goal for everyone, but for those who love travel it can be very rewarding. Take Sandy & Vyjay, a couple based in India who love sharing their travel stories for the world to read.
