Who and What is Budget Travel Babes?
Offering a vibrant and growing community on Facebook of over 19K women from all over the world who love to travel. Everyone has their definition for the word “budget”. For some the word budget might mean couch surfing or hiking/tenting for free. While for others it might simply mean sacrificing by taking a cheaper flight, to be able to afford a nicer hotel. There are so many levels of budget and we welcome all of them.
Here are some simple rules to follow once you are accepted into the group.
WHAT TO POST ON THE WALL
Introductions: Please introduce yourself! You can include a link to ONE social media (only in first-time intros).
Questions: Ask for recommendations on destinations, booking platforms, budgeting, etc.
Money-saving tips: Post about your budget travel experiences and the best advice for saving money.
Budget travel blogs/videos: Share great content that you have found (except your own blogs/vlogs – see below) but please don’t just drop links without an explanation.
WHAT NOT TO POST ON THE WALL
No self-promoting or affiliate links unless someone asks for information relevant to it (see below).
No MLM or SPAM (e.g. sharing links without an explanation or posts unrelated to budgeting/traveling).
Do not ask people to send you a private message or message members without their permission.
Bullying or personal attacks of any kind aren’t allowed.
What will you see in Budget Travel Babes?
The Budget Travel Babes team will share blog posts and affiliate links where beneficial and relevant. The team currently is Joslyn (That Traveling Chick).
The group will have posts about travel, how to travel, where to travel, questions from others asking for advice on travel, etc. Travel deals, tips, product info, how to earn when traveling or for traveling.
HOW TO SELF PROMOTE OR SHARE AFFILIATE LINKS
Women often ask for travel recommendations. When it is helpful and relevant, you can share your blog, business (no MLMs), social media, or affiliate link in the comments as a response.
Example 1: “Does anyone have tips for Rome?”
Commenting in response: Yes, I have a blog post about the best things to do in Rome. Here is the link.
Example 2: “Does anyone have any tips for Rome?”
Commenting in response: Yes, I recommend this walking tour and restaurant. Also, I own a hostel that could be a good option for you. Here is the link.
Example 3: “What travel insurance company do you use?”
