There are times in ones life when traveling might not be possible. That is life, and not something to fret about. Maybe you are sick, or there are world events happening that keep you at home, safe and sound.
Surviving a quarantine is not as hard as one might try to make it seem. There are many ways to make being stuck at home or inside doable, and even enjoyable. Read on to see the best tips to survive a quarantine.
Work from Home
During a quarantine many companies will have their employees work from home. This keeps them safe, as well as co-workers safe. Setting up a nice home office so you are not disturbed and you are comfortable in key.
Have you been thinking about starting a blog? This is a great time to put forth the tools for starting your own blog and taking some online courses to learn how to grow your online business.
Earn Extra Money from Home
Being home can cause a financial strain for many. There are great ways to earn a bit of extra income from home. Taking online surveys to earn a few bucks. A few are Surveys2Cash, Survey Junkie, and Opinion Outpost.
If you do a lot of online surfing, you can also earn points thru Swagbucks and then turn them into gift cards. I turn mine into Amazon gift cards as I shop Amazon a lot.
Earn Money with Online Shopping
When you are quarantined at home, shopping online might be your only option so if that is the case you might as well earn cash back on all your shopping. Using sites like BeFrugal, Ebates and TopCashBack are great choices.
Before you hit up all those online stores, join the cash back sites and check each one out to see who is offering the biggest cash back or the best online coupons. It really does pay to shop around.
Buy Groceries Online
A quarantine means staying home, which means not heading out of the house for your grocery shopping needs. There are amazing online companies that deliver right to your doorstep. Meat, or meal kits, or daily grocery items.
Butcher Box is a very popular meat delivery company, and one I love! Looking for full meal kits, check out Blue Apron, Gobble, and SunBasket just to name a few. If you are a fresh juice kind of person there is also Project Juice.
Many stores also offer grocery pick up so check that out as well. Instacart also has a list of stores in your area that do curbside pick up or delivery. There is also Amazon Prime Pantry where you get many grocery items shipped to your door. (closed down at this moment but I will update when reopened)
Staying in shape and being healthy isn’t something one should only think of when you are in quarantine, but yet, it’s a great time to get started on a new way of living, right? Gyms are closed so finding things you can do that are online is key.
Stream a workout like something from Beachbody or MyYogaWorks. Both offer amazing choices for fitness levels, goals, and time allotted for workouts. Currently I am hitting the Body Beast on Beachbody. If you follow my Instagram you have seen me share that.
Quality Family Time
When in quarantine, you might find yourself spending more time with your family than you ever have. That means, getting on each others nerves might happen. Tip to stopping that from happening is giving each other space.
Quiet time for kids, being able to have a few minutes alone in your bedroom or bathroom just to take a few deep breaths, maybe read a book or magazine, or just even a quiet bath or shower.
Might be trying times, but in the end it could make your family closer and appreciate each other more. Finding things you can all do at home, together, is important. Deep cleaning those closets and cupboards, doing crafts, or home DIY remodeling.
Most importantly DON’T CUT YOUR BANGS! Seriously, no matter the reason we might be quarantined at home, just stay safe. Hug those loved ones, get creative, and maybe even learn to meditate. Quarantines are for the good of everyone, and the more people listen to the rules, the better we all are.
While we all would rather be traveling, that isn’t always how life works out. So, until travel can be resumed, enjoy some home time.
