A Night at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch

Did you know you can stay at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Tennessee? I didn’t until we actually stayed there.
Country music is what I grew up on and the name Loretta Lynn was in my vocabulary. Growing up as my Mom and Grandma were country music listeners and Loretta Lynn’s songs were always on the radio or record player. It wasn’t till recently though, when I realized I had a passion for travel, that I really thought about her and the fact that she had a ranch where fan’s could stay and tour.
Loretta Lynn’s Ranch
Having seen her movie many times, been in love with her forever and also adding one of her songs to the list of songs we sing in our band I was just beyond the moon excited to be able to experience her ranch. So, on the list this vacation went and it was an amazing experience.

Road Trip
Road trips are our thing for the most part and for this particular vacation we were driving to Florida. We planned our route so we could stay close to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch because we wanted to get up early, head over and do the tour and then get back on the road to our final destination.
Booking on the fly is our thing usually as we never know how far we will feel like driving each day, or what attractions might be on the way that fit into our schedule to see. It never dawned on me to look up places close to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch to stay so while driving and about 4 hours from Loretta Lynn’s Ranch I started looking up hotels.
My search didn’t turn out so well, as there is nothing close to her ranch, except her ranch. On the website it listed there were cabins to rent. Of course that just made my face light up! Seriously I can stay at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch? To think I would be on the same property that this amazing woman called home for so many years was a dream.
Loretta Lynn’s Ranch
One call to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch and we were booked for a night. It was late when we arrived to the ranch, and our info for check in was hanging on a hook outside the front office door, and our cabin was open and ready for us. If that makes one feel so at home and comfortable right off the bat!
We sorta got lost looking for the cabin since it was dark and we had never been there. We took a tour of the whole place and before we knew it, we were right in front of Loretta Lynn’s home (the ranch home). It might have been dark out, but my heart skipped a beat just knowing I was near greatness.
Finally found the cabin we would be staying in that night and parked and proceeded to unload the truck. This is the cutest cabin I have ever stayed in.
The cabin we were in was named Honky Tonk Girl. They must have known me because it fits perfectly with me and my life.

The Cabin
Like I said, it was dark when we got there but here is an evening shot of our cabin for the night. Just the cutest cabin isn’t it.

Not only were we in love with the outside, the setting of it, and the fact we were not far from where Loretta actually lives, but check out how great the inside is. I swear.. I could live here! This is the inside view, from standing in the doorway. There is even a loft. Cute!!

Here is the cozy little kitchen. Just a microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven and fridge. What more does one need for a relaxing stay. There was a grill outside too.

Here is me looking down at my adorable husband, from up in the loft. I love that it had a loft, and a main floor bedroom.

The loft had a nice cozy feel, and one bed in it. I love the log beds and let me just say, it was comfy. Didn’t sleep on this one, but sat on it and bounced a bit just like a little girl.

The wall hangings and decor were even so rustic and country. These are some really neat pictures and frames.

Here was our bedroom on the main level. I just love the furniture! This bed is log, my favorite. The bathroom sink is next to the bed which might seem strange but when you see the bathroom you will understand.
Just guessing that maybe these cabins didn’t have running water or toilets/showers and such when they were first built. Not sure, but that might explain why the sink is there and the toilet is in a room of it’s own as is the shower.

Check out this door going to the toilet area. It’s like an outhouse door and so dang cool!

What’s behind the super cool looking door? Well it’s the potty of course. Just like an outhouse would be.

How about a nice hot shower in the morning? Don’t mind if I do! This shower was so neat. Had it’s own little dressing room area.

Cabin Goodies
This cabin was perfect and was truly refreshing and made us feel so comfortable and like we were at home. Take a look at the goodies left on the table. All kinds of info about Loretta Lynn and the ranch.
Even a couple coffee mugs. And, you could take the mugs, but you would have a charge on your credit card. Of course, silly me forgot to take one. But I have some fun Loretta Lynn goodies in my shop.

End of the Stay
The stay was so relaxing and enjoyable and we plan to head back soon. If you have never been to her ranch, keep an eye peeled for the upcoming post about the tour. You will love all the info and pictures, I promise! Join my newsletter so you know when I post that.
Did you know I’m a Honky Tonk Girl is the first single Loretta released. I actually bought a t-shirt while we were there that said “Honky Tonk Girl” on it. Love that shirt, loved this cabin, love Loretta Lynn!

Goodbye Loretta Lynn
October 4, 2022 will forever be a sad day, as it’s the day Loretta Lynn passed away at age 90. She was in her home surrounded by family. Exactly where she would have wanted to be when she said goodbye.
I have loved Loretta Lynn for many years, and in our band we’ve done a Loretta song for a while now. I recorded myself signing it and thought I’d share here. My tribute to sweet Miss Loretta Lynn.

So cool to stay on her ranch. I grew up on Loretta Lynn so would absolutely love to stay here!
Me too. Being on her property was a huge honor.
This cabin reminds me of one my husband and I stayed in on our honeymoon. I love how cozy log cabins are. Looks like a great place to stay!
When we travel we would rather stay in a cozy cabin that a big fancy hotel. We are kinda rednecks like that. LOL
What fun! I always love to stay someplace with a story connected to it!
And this has a huge store behind it, due to the fact Loretta has lived there for years, and the home she grew up in was also moved there. So cool!
oooooo I love little gems like this! What a fun little find!!
It was a neat find as we never knew there were cabins, or a campground there.
I would love to stay at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch! How cool! And the cabin is so adorable. Oh, I would go there in a heartbeat!
It is really a neat experience. Everyone is so nice there too, which is a plus.
That is really cool you can stay there! I bet fans love it!
Yes, it is a hot spot for fans. Especially because there was a chance of actually seeing Loretta wandering around.
I did not know I’m a Honky Tonk Girl was the first single Loretta released.
Funny is I didn’t either till staying at her place.
Looks like fun! I’ll have to look into this!
Thanks.. it was.
Log cabins are fun and this one looks private and cozy. Not familiar with country music genre and didn’t know Loretta was a country singer. I can imagine the heightened excitement for a fan.
Loretta Lynn is just an icon in country music. They call her the first woman of country music 😉 But that doesn’t mean everyone is aware, especially if you are not a country music fan. Regardless, everyone can relax at her ranch 😉
What a fun place to stay! Love the adorable cabins.
It was fun and yes all the cabins are adorable.
Such fun cabins! It makes it feel like you are back in time. Lucky there is indoor plumbing now!
I am thinking these cabins were moved to the property and that is why they are kinda set up funky as they most likely had no indoor plumbing when they were built.
I love Loretta Lynn! What a cute cabin.
It was super cute and cozy.
I love Loretta! I have to go here. 🙂
If you even just “like” Loretta, it’s a must see/do.
Looks so cozy! Love a good cabin get a way. I love country music too! 🙂
It was super cozy 🙂
Was always fascinated with her life, so this would be fun!
Me too. I never ever thought though that I would be able to visit her home, and stay there.
How cool! I love the cabin. It looks like it was very comfy.
It was comfy. Didn’t want to leave. LOL
This looks super fun!! Thanks for giving me an idea on where to stay.
You are welcome. There isn’t much else around Loretta’s Ranch for places to stay, and that is how we ended up finding this place.
You should have taken a mug! haha sounds like that was a really nice trip you took. It would be fun to visit there.
I know!! They were also for sale in the gift store, but honestly I have so many mugs, and only use one at a time.. LOL
